Monster Truck FINALS!!!!!!!

Lets just say VEGAS BABY !!! We were able to take paulo and Joe's parents and grandma to laughlin and Vegas with us to see the Truck finals......The vacation for the year....this child eat sleeps,dreams, talks in his sleep about monster trucks...now that he has started to use his imagination more 99.9 % of the time he is a monster truck and a good day is when i can guess which one he is so he will obey me...*smile*I guess i was blessed to have grown up with boys so that i would now how to deal with such a truck fan boy i was blessed with. We went to laughlin and used some free rooms we had and to break up the trip and then headed to Vegas on Saturday to all share one big room and make the "pit party" and "finals". Most of the pictures you see are what he looked like the WHOLE time we were there....subdue, quiet and did not want to be bothered he was in his own world....that is how he is....he takes it all then. And then when we get home he proceeds to tell us EVERYTHING that happened in complete detail , things i would have never thought we would remember..( this kid has quite the memory). We were lucky enough to have Joe's dad or "bampa" come with us, and once again i made some shirts we all had our favorites on them....The video you see is Paulo's favorite "donkey com" or Donkey Kong (yes like the video game). He was one of the best all night. And just so i don't forget he had his ear mucks (ear plugs) in the whole time. We spent way to much money, ate way to much good food and missed the birth of our new niece "aviana" but all in all it was so worth it and so much fun.....Guess we better start saving and planning for next year. Dad : "Rade do not stick one more thing in your mouth until i tell you !" (he was literally SHOVING food in his mouth)

Rade: "Dad im starving"

Dad : " you still have food in your cheek"

Rade: "yeah i know i keep it in there for storage , then i take a bite for the other side...."

What the heck where do kids learn these things.....

I have to be honest i dont feel much like blogging today but new that some certain people would be wanting me to ...so here i am . We are here at my mom and dads and we cleaned the kitchen that was outside and brought it inside since it is so dang cold here and Paulo has had an absolute blast. He is constantly making me hot dogs , ice cream and papa "coffee" lol and of course papa things it is hillaroius to egg him on . So there you have it hope you enjoy. So i have been really working with paulo on his ABC's and his numbers ...i thought we were off to a great start...when counting to 20 he only misses his 4 and says 16 about 6 times until he gets to 20...not to bad*smile* ..But all day on friday he was on this kick of everytime he saw something with letters in it he would start rattling off letters like he was spelling it out for me....i though ok....nice he gets it.....LOL then i started listening in closer....Here is an example.....

*Sees a bucket with playdoh in bright red letters*

Paulo: A W X nowI Q R know my K L G

Me: buddy "now i" and "know my" are not letters thats just part of the song....
*start singing the ABC song with him*

Paulo: ok

So im thinking ok maybe that will help him we sing the song again with out the "now i know my ABC's....And im hoping he gets it....

Wall- E & Ebah......Out There!

Unlike most 2 year old's i know....Paulo seems to love the movie "Wall -E" . He is fascinated with Ebah...(eve) and walle...even though they don't talk he loves it. The song at the first is one of his favorites we will listen to it over and over again just so we can hear him say "out there" ...the way he says it is so funny and cute.....its almost like a southern drawl or something ... and please excuse the tongue blah blah blah that begins once he sees i have the camera on him....the best excuse i have is "2 year old naughtiness" i am not sure what it is but we hope you enjoy as much as we do.

So we have been saving all our money and were able to give Paulo Monster Truck Tickets for the Monster Jam Rally here in Phoenix for his Birthday. This kid is ALL ABOUT trucks. It reminds me so much of Rayden when he was little. He had so much fun, this is one of those things that even if you don't like trucks when you are there, the adrenaline and excitement around you just makes it so much fun you cant help but get into it. We were able to go to the "Pit Party" and take pics with the drivers and see all the trucks up close and then enjoy the racing and the freestyle. We took a picture of him with all his trucks and i put it on a T- shirt so he could wear it. That is what you see while he is on the front porch eating a peanut butter sandwich before we left. The Race is of a new truck called "backwards Bob" and yes he drives backwards everywhere he goes.....definitely a crowd pleaser the kids loved him.....i think he even became my second favorite.....Please enjoy the videos not sure how loud it will be so be prepared. It so hard to believe that 2 years ago we went in for a routine pregnancy check up and came out with the news that it was the day to deliver...... We were scared , not ready yet, but oh so happy. We have been blessed with a SMART, sweet, funny little boy. I could not imagine life with out him and feel so blessed to have the oppurtunity to teach and raise this little boy. So happy Birthday buddy.......

I just wanted to thank my husband for the BEAUTIFUL flowers that he picked out for me and suprized me with. Let me just say this......in the 7 years ( yes i said 7YEARS) that we have been together i have gotten flowers twice .Our 1st Valentines day and it was the day before because we arent big fans of the holiday and on my bridal shower day. We have had major sickness the last 3 weeks and being a mom you dont get to "be sick" so i was tired and a little grumpy. He picked out some beautiful pink roses and daisys and a bunch of other ones and it even had a pretty vase. Because our camera is having issues and i couldnt post a picture i decided to say thank you and i love you......It was so thoughtful.

Joe and i was lucky enough to get drawn this year for elk hunting......After 3 days of him calling late at night to tell me he had seen a bunch and they had seen some with lots of horns.....i finally said as nice as i could " babe we need food dor the year, not a big set of horns on the wall" well sure enough that next day he called to tell me he had got one. We were lucky enough to get about 120 Ibs of meat to hold us over. I love you Babe !!! Thank you.

When i let my sweet little boy help me cook. which is a normal activity. At least 3 times a week he wants to help. Which i gladly say yes to ...for one i can keep an eye on him and i love the company. I definetly have gotten better at just letting the mess happen. In the last two years since i have had him...i have learned it can all be cleaned up so let it happen and enjoy it. * Notice the trucks there to* this is also a normal thing that always seem to somehow "race" in the food.

So we were lucky enough to go to the state fair with joes family here in phoenix, and we had SO much fun. We found these cute little ice cream things i just want to know who in the world created such a thing.....poor child could not figure it all out. So this was another one of my spare time ideas...i put food coloring in the ice trays with water and then we played with them and watched them melt on the hot driveway......it killed ALOT of time and we had so much fun we have done them everyday this whole week...... So joe has been spending a TON of time at work these days....(thanks babe it finally paid off) and being with only one car that makes for some mighty long days without going anywhere and with just the 2 of us....so i have started to get creative except i think that my poor child has inherited my EXTREME love of dorkiness....i love it though....i mean we were supposed to be stringing frootie tooties on string and we ended with seeing if we could get them on our fingers and dancing after we had !!!! I love this kid!

We were lucky enough to have one of Joe's co-workers give us some tickets on Friday to the ASU football game, there was fireworks, screaming, crazy etc.....But paulo had so much fun....he was dancing to the band....yelling with all the kids in front of us and mostly sceaming in laughter when the fireworks happened.....It also was a GREAT game !!!! Thanks guys!

A few of us were lucky enough to get to go to the rim over labor day......Brett and Jenny were in hawaii and Joe was working in Phoenix all weekend. So dad, mom, rade, Reg & apes, Ryker, Ivy (baby in the belly)Paulo and I loaded up and went camping. It was so fun....all the kids had so much fun and it was nice to relax and just let them get dirty, play in the fire and stay in pajamas.....Hopefully next year we all can be there !!!! So i always said i would be one of those moms like on the McDonald's commerical where the little girls are wearing there dress up clothes to eat, or the little girl is in a pink tu tu and green frog rain boots. I always admired the moms for letting the kids have there choice and truly who is it hurting other than a few odd stares. well my time has come and my son loves the boots, as you can see because of the heat and high cost of Ac he spends quite a bit of time in just a diaper well the boots have been added to the mix, last night after his bath he cried and cried for them to be put on and against my better judgment i stuck them on, well you can see he fell asleep in them and i had to sneak a picture( excuse Joe and his chonies) i couldn't get the pic with out them in there....i am starting to figure out where he is getting it from LOL

Summer Cut !

So now that all the "special" events of the summer were over we decided to cut Paulo's hair. Against everyone else liking i decided to buzz it and get it over with that is what is easiest for me and one of the things i hated the most was spending time in the morning to get his hair done ...i don't know just not something i wanted....Joe asked for a Mohawk and of course my mom was the one doing the buzz and started to do it then just went all the way. That is what the picture in the middle is all about LOL . Although he looks so much older he is way cooler in this summer heat and i don't have to do anything. ( These silly smiles you see are his new way of saying "cheese")

These my Friends are the "ugly" pants Joe was talking about yes the ones that i drop him off to work in sometimes, and i guess the ones that are SO embarrassing ( i never knew he was that passionate about it ) they are SO comfortable and remember please that you cant see the rainbow band at the top because my shirt covers it and yes they are somewhat like terry cloth but oh they can make any bad day better. So yeah there they are i am in no way defending them because i wont get rid of them they are to comfortable. please tell me they are not that bad LOL

So the Jirsa family reunion has happened again and although it was VERY different from what we were all used to which is the Rim with rain, no showers ,guns, Quads and Dutch oven cooking it was still so much fun to all get together again. Because of the great new arrival of Mr. Trypp and brett and jenny being so Generous we were able to have get together at there 10 acre property. We still had the quad riding , and the boys made some great dutch oven pizza and cobbler, and of course mom and dad set the propane stove up in the yard and cooked us some great fried potatoes , pancakes with every topping imaginable and bacon with the best being chocolate milk for breakfast ! we also were able to go to a Water park in Phoenix on Friday which was SO hot but SO much fun the boys ( rade & Alex) did not stop and we found out the IVY was a total dare devil with no fear. the little boys had so much fun on the Toddler slides and the fountains. I think for me the best part was having dad go down the "dark tunnel" slides and hearing him scream all the way to the bottom. The 2 nd day we went to beaver creek....the halls will all remember the platform and how many days we spent there with our moms......the kids enjoyed there self's, the boys had fun fishing and having rock lifting contests ( you can only imagine) and also we had a great picnic lunch and allot of memories and good times. then back to Brett and Jenny's it was to enjoy the fire, quads and just being together. I would say we all look really good together in our yearly picture. Thanks to all involved we love you tons.

So Paulo and i had the chance to go and visit for a WHOLE week at my mom and dad's it was so much fun not only did mom and i get to do crafts ( we never seem to finish all that we want to because its just to much fun to sit and visit) but the boys got to play so much it was actually somewhat warm so we broke out the jeep which paulo enjoyed so much except we all joked that the "lock" on the door was broke because rayden didnt want to let paulo out so most of the time he was driving the jeep with paulo screaming bloddy murder.LOL i also got ambitious and made some "ediable peanut butter" PLAY DOUGH lol. we waited to tell them it was something you could eat until they had played with it for a little bit but it did not last long once they new you can tell. It was actually really really good and really fun to play with. Thank you mom and dad i love you!

So to make a long story short i Just want to Thank my parents and rade and joes parents for giving me some great mothers day presents. I had been asking my dad about putting a light up in my living room on the fan since i had moved in( there was no lights except in the kitchen VERY dark) and while they were down this weekend they snuck in my house and did this while i was away. I walked in and was in tears..... some times i think it is the thought that counts more than the monetary gifts you can give. Also i have been begging Joe's dad to paint the back of my front door since we moved in ( it was bright orange with different colors of paint splatters all over it) and he did it while i was at church on sunday so when i came home it was done. It is so nice to look over and up at the wonderful reminders that i am a mother and have been raised by some great people. I love you all tons . THANK YOU !!!!!

I want to start by thanking molls for inviting me to be at the blessings of the babies. I LOVE to get together with my second family and always leave remembering that we had so much fun growing up and that these girls are just like my sisters. I couldn't help but steal this picture of dallin and ryan during the prayer for the food. I know it is bad to do but i just couldn't help it. I still marvel at the fact that this is what family is for.... for everyone no matter how old or how young to help us get back to our heavenly father. I NEED HELP !!!!!!! Ok everyone so this is the dining room which is also attached to my open kitchen and my open living room which is pretty much all one room , when you walk in the front door you see all of them in plain view...so these are 3 cut outs in the wall between the hallway and the dining room. They have the lighting and are pretty nice i just don't know what to do with them....what do you put in them as decorations or as we call them pretty's...because it is a hallway you have to be careful what you put in in case it gets knocked or hit and sweet little baby fingers can reach and touch the bottom shelf and the bottom bell.....oh and the bells yes they came with the house not my choice.....but i have found that i can take them off and put something else on the bars that are holding them.....so if everyone would please help any ideas are great THANK YOU in advance i love you all !

Since we have moved to the valley we have been trying to find things to do as a family to keep ourselves from getting home sick and something to help us help paulo experience the city but also remember the things we loved to do so much back home and luckily we have a park that is literally like 3 minutes away from our house it has some old historic building , 2 Huge play areas lots of grass, basketball courts and a huge pond with ducks and fish in it...since fishing is something we love to do we wanted to make paulo gets to do it with us. Thanks babe for being so willing to go do something even though you were tired from work!

Growing up i never really liked sand or i guess i dont remember ever liking to play in the sand....Well my sweet little boy has found it now that we have moved to the valley....The park up the street has a HUGE play area that has toys and LOTS of sand he will pass up almost everything but the ducks for the sand so the grandparents broke down and found a cheap sandbox for him to play with although we have been through almost 2 bags of sand and it seems to get everywhere but in the sand box i must say it has occupied ALOT of our time.

Ok so joe is going to kill me for this post but i just can help it.....Oh when we found out rayden was a boy i cried cause i wanted a sister and when i found out i was having a boy i cried cause i wanted a daughter......So instead i decided to just sneak a peak and see what it would look like if i did have a girl and put a Bow in Paulo's hair.....I think he looks cute but he still looks like a little boy to me......NOTE: Just so everyone knows i Do love my little boy and would not have it any other way now that he is here. !!!!

Oh my this is such a wierd post for me....it seems like it has gone by so fast as i woke up on saturday i was thinking about the having a baby experience ...went in for a check up and was told i needed to deliver ASAP i immedialty started crying and went right over....was so not ready......oh how blessed i feel to have such a sweet little boy and although i thought i was not ready for him......i guess the lord had something else in mind because i would never change a thing. Ok so we had to celebrate twice because joe had to go back to Phoenix for work....i Was done with the partying....here is the 2nd party......I realized that i HATE to frost cupcakes and that i was glad i had rayden to help me with the sprinkles. We Celebrated Thangsgiving at the Baca House in Flagstaff this year which was so nice to not have to Travel and be here in Town.....As Always there was a lot going on and i tried to get the slew of pictures to show all that was happening.....There was Eating, Football Watching, Sleeping , Mexican Train Game until midnight :) (Funny name i know), Paulo and the

kids playing and pulling all the kleenex out of the box just to here him yell and giggle.....It was such a good year and although i couldnt be with my family i had so much fun with my in laws .....When you have a baby Holidays definetly take on a whole new meaning ....I was thankful for the day and the reminder. !!!!

Paulo had his first sucker and as mcuh as i wanted to be in control and not let him hold it ...i lost the battle so i jumped in and stuck a blanket around him......as you can tell he figured it out quite quickly.....he would take a lick and then bunch his hands and arms and scream with joy....i must say i have a nerdy child LOL we also learned his is like his grammy and can stick quite the handful in his mouth !!!!!!

We went to Dinner with Joey's Family and his brothers Grand Daughter came along....she is cute as a button and also has a plug like Paulo....She is a very aggressive girl and just wanted to keep taking his plug away...he was having none of it and so he would just turn and take hers out of her mouth....it was very cute...glad paulo has someone close to his age that is family here in town now.......We love you gabriella and Paulo !

So we had a Haloween Costume for Dogs at the store and my mother being the thoughtful lady that she is found Paulo a Dog Costume to Wear......I must say he Absolutly hated it.....Did not like it at all but we caught a picture thank goodness....she had also found him this SPANDEX :) long john type material bodysuit that was orange and had Haloween stuff all over it.....that is what he is in with the bandana on his head.....Happy Haloween !

We have been going through the Stranger Anxiety Stage and any other stage that involves being left alone where he cant see me......And i am about to go nuts...but anyway....i have been trying to put in him in places with things to do and then go about my cleaning etc...then coming back and checking on him.....the other morning i went to go make my bed and clean up the laundry room and thought he is just being so good....not fussing just looking around hanging out....and so i went about my way ..when i came back in this is what i saw.....i know i shouldn't feel like i am a bad mom ...but i have pictures of me asleep with my face in a plate of peas...and constantly tease my parents for it......I guess it happens...but oh how cute......

Joe's Cousin Andre Eithier Plays for The MLB Dodgers, Well he had them special make this little jersey for Paulo and a big one for Joe That have his name on the back. So i decided to take some pictures to say Thank you...Since it was such a nice thought ! It seems like i was having him pose but he seems to just do this all on his own as soon as he see's the camera.......I wasnt quite as up to speed as he was considering this was at 5:30 am this morning !!!! So this is the latest Toy of fun for paulo, Because he was born with the hip problem and had to wear the brace for so long he absouluty refuses to lay on his belly let alone attempt to crawl, but you put him on the edge of the couch and he will scoot along . Because we are at the store during the day the walker seemed like a great idea and seems to keep him occupied for awhile. I will fill the tray up with toys - he will through them all on the floor - we will do this for the majority of the day . He has gotten to where he can scoot around in the little area and pull the phone off the table, the appointment book and anything else he can reach....Oh what i have to look forward to .

A Good Ol' Mexican Wedding !

So Joe's Cousin got married this past weekend, and we decided to attempt a late night wedding with the baby......He had so much fun playing with the cup, and was getting so upset that everyone wanted to pass him up and down the table to see him. Once the party got started and joe and i decided to start dancing ( Really i attempted to mexican dance - "cause that is how you become part of the family *$&#%$") Joe's dad took the baby outside and decided to let him watch the taillights on the cars and the streetlights change. On Friday Afternoon we decided to take a break and go down to sedona and among doing some business there, stop by the creek and let the baby experience his first bout of water, bugs , fishing and fun. As you can tell he LOVES the water, was quite intrigued with the fishing pole , and at the end of the day ready to be done . He didnt end up catching any fish and decided to cry about it. Poor baby !!!!!

So girls at the baby shower this is the picture we were all talking about......Paulo's room is decorated in western/cowboy stuff and the vest was something we had hanging on the wall, the boots were brett's made for him by someone when mom and dad lived in vernon and the hat is joes.....i took him to work and had some down time so we decided to take some pictures..... i couldnt help it....... i made it big and hung it on the mantel next to me and joes wedding picture....... who wouldnt want that to be the center of the attention ...LOL

This was a while ago but i just found these pictures and couldnt help it.....I can barley write without getting emotional.....but i think we must always remember where we came from and those who have sacraficed and given so much to us.....that will never go away and neither will are families......even though they are sick and getting older they also still never forget the simple things in life.....i will strive everyday to remember the simple but most important things in life.

Since we have taken over the shop we rarley get home before the sun goes down at night....so i took off early one night and decided to play in the yard with the baby ! This was the first experience with grass.....and i dont know if he liked it or not, are grass needed to be mowed so bad that it was way taller than he was.....so everytime he got excited and flapped his arms the long pieces of grass would hit him in the face....you can see he started to get so frustrated that he started growling at the grass !

So we ventured out to the 4th of july parade this year ...paulo's first and it all started out well, we were just chillin had his hat on, then it got really really hot and we started to strip him and we put him under the umbrella which he decided he wanted to eat, he then decided that licking it seemed to be an easier task and just as rewarding, how gross i know...but it was oh so cute......i think one day he will hate me for these but i couldnt resist....

Thank goodness for my family and the priesthood holders in it. My dad , brett and regan were able to bless my sweet little boy and with the help of a great mother who did all the food for me we had such a special day.Aunt Mona , molli , kendall , brennan (and baby brynlee) were there and it meant so so much to me. i will never be able to thank those in my life for the love and support. So every night in my prayers i thank my heavenly father for all my many blessings. ok enough of the mushy stuff , we had so much fun and it was so fun to have all the kids play together, i think rayden finally met his match in brennan or maybe it was the other way around....it was so fun to see them play..or fight !

We decided to get some yard work done.....and being new to the whole parenthood ....get something done we got creative and took the swing outside...that is the day we learned how very much paulo loves the outdoors.

So this will tell you how far behind i am on posting, this picture is from when joe was coaching little leauge baseball. his games seemed to all fall late at night so i decided to bundle up paulo and take him to one.....the poor little league team in sunnyside has not help....so we called him our vato helper.....all the little boys loved him. and yes those are dallas Cowboys Cleats......Thank you Auntie Teresa !

This is is new favorite toy.....he will sit and play with this for at least thirty minutes at a time....it doesnt matter what is in it where it came from.....and dont worry i only let him play with it when someone is watching him...

Actually i can feed him a new jar of ANY kind of food and he will cry when the last bite is comming....so i will scrap it of the lid and pretend like i am getting more out and then he will still cry.....he just wants to do it himself so to get him to stop crying i give him the spoon and usually he ends up gagging himself....that is why he looks like this....its not the food thats the problem its that darnd old spoon.

So i had been hearing about this Chair all over .....TV, Magazine, moms , Oprah.....so i couldnt resist....It is the perfect thing for baby's learing to sit up on there own. He loves the chair....the only problem is his little....wait his big thighs have a hard time fitting in the wholes....

I couldnt help myself i had to post these pictures.....It had been a crazy day at work and it was OH so quiet....so i looked over at the Pack and Play and this is what i found no matter how hard i try not to let him cover himself he always finds a way while he is sleeping to grab the blanket and pull it up over his face.....I think he gets it from his mama......
